Designed and created here at the AYP studio, this sweet little coaster-style pendulum chart features a lovely Celtic style Tree of Life symbol on an ethereal backdrop of pastel green, yellow, lavender and peachy-pink clouds.
The chart's artwork is permanently embedded into its specially coated glossy surface that won't fade or chip over time. This chart measures 4" across and is made of medium density engineered wood and has a cork back to keep it from slipping.

Caring for your chart
To remove smudges and fingerprints from surface of your chart, gently wipe with tissue or use a damp cloth. You can use mild hand or dish soap if needed. Avoid harsh cleansers or scrub brushes.

It symbolizes wisdom, protection, strength, abundance, connection to earth, fertility, beauty, longevity and redemption. A powerful symbol for growth and development, the Tree of Life is also regarded as the life-giving source that provides shelter, sustenance and nourishment for the soul's journey to enlightenment.
How to Use
- Be prepared with a pencil and paper to write down what your pendulum says. If you’re asking questions about the name of a person, place or thing, your pendulum will answer by spelling it out, letter by letter, using the outer ring. If your question can be answered with numbers, you’ll use the inner ring. If your question can be answered by a percentage, you’ll use the middle ring.
- Clear your mind of expectations and predictions.
- Place the chart on a flat surface in front of you, positioned with "A" on the left and "Z" on the right. If possible, sit up straight and put both feet flat on the floor.
- Decide on the question you’re going to ask. Use details if you have them and be as specific as possible. Avoid using the words “should” or “supposed to” in your phrasing.
- Grasp the top bead or fob of your pendulum between your thumb and forefinger and arch your wrist slightly. Hold your pendulum so that it dangles about 1/2 inch above the hinge-point (the white dot at the center of the chart). Steady your elbow on the table, but not your hand that holds the pendulum. Let the pendulum dangle directly above the chart’s hinge-point.
- Ask your question and then allow the pendulum as much time as it needs to get started.
- Read the answer by watching the pendulum’s motion. When it’s ready, it will straighten into a steady swing that goes out and back, swinging between the hinge point and the chart’s outer edge. When your pendulum repeatedly slices the same wedge, write it down and continue for the next letter of the answer. Repeat until the answer is complete.
During the answering process, if you aren’t sure when your pendulum is done, you can move off the chart and, with your pendulum programmed for yes/no answers, ask, “Are there more letters in this word?” Or, repeating out loud what you have written down so far, ask, “Is this the complete answer?” Depending on how you phrased this clarification question, a simple yes or no will tell you whether to continue gathering letters and/or numbers from the chart.
Important Notes
Be prepared to sound it out. Your pendulum (and/or its source) may not be good at spelling, even if you, yourself are excellent at it. When the answer is unclear, just remember that you can move off the chart to ask yes/no clarification questions.
If, when you make your inquiry, the pendulum swings in a clockwise circle instead of in a slicing motion, it’s indicating that clarification of your question is needed, so rephrase it and try again. If it swings in a counter-clockwise motion, it is indicating that now is not the time to ask.
Sample questions that use letters to answer
Focusing on the outer ring with letters, you could ask,“What are the initials of the person who claims to be my secret admirer?”“What is the name of the of the angel who spoke to me in my dream last night?”“In what store (or on what street) did I drop my fuzzy blue earmuffs?”
Sample questions that use percentages or numbers to answer
Focusing on the middle ring with percentages, you could say,"Show me the potential success rate for my new project (insert specific name of the endeavor here)?".
Focusing on the inner ring of numbers, you could ask, "Of the one hundred invitations I mailed for (insert name of specific event), how many people will attend?".
