Lotus Design Stainless Steel Aromatherapy Locket with Chain and 8 Color Felt Inserts

Stainless steel locket with a cutout design of a stylized Lotus blossom. This pretty locket is a great way to enjoy the aroma of perfume or essential oils without applying them directly to your skin. The locket's scent stays on the felt pad inside. Change the pad to change the scent and/or the color that shows through the locket's cutout design.

Locket has magnetic closure for easy access to the aromatherapy felt pad insert. Includes a 24" stainless steel chain with lobster claw clasp and eight different colors of reusable aromatherapy felt pad inserts (1 black and 7 in colors of the chakras). Also included is a drawstring pouch and reusable polishing cloth.

Details

Measurements - Overall length of locket, including bail, is 1 1/2". It's about 1 1/4" wide and 1/4" thick. Chain is 24" long. Felt pads that go inside are 22 millimeters wide (just under 1 inch).

Symbolism

The Lotus is a symbol of transcendence, beauty, purity, enlightenment, and rebirth. It grows from muddy roots, up through water to blossom above the surface, absorbing sunlight. A metaphor for the soul's journey and the human condition, like the lotus we rise from the mud of materialism, through waters of experience, unfolding in the sun (enlightenment), unmuddied by our messy beginnings.

How to use

1. Select the color of felt that you want to show through the locket's cut-out pattern.
2. Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil (undiluted) or perfume directly onto felt pad.
3. Find depression on side of locket and use your fingernail to open locket.
4. Place the scented pad inside and close.
5. Wear as you would a pendant.

Aroma from pad in locket will release scent for several days (or longer). If you want to change the scent, just change the felt pad and add new scent. You can preserve scented pads for use again later by placing in a separate plastic sealed baggy.

To get more of the aroma while wearing, just lift the locket to your nose and inhale.

Felt pads are reusable. Just add more of the scent to the pad to revive it.
