This is a One-of-a-Kind pendulum design - meaning there is only one of this particular pendulum.
This pendulum is made with Moldavite and sterling silver. The weight-stone comprises three beautifully faceted, dark green Moldavites that together weigh approximately 12 carats and are "stacked" with sterling silver mounts to form a single weight-stone.
The detachable sterling silver chain is adorned with ten sterling clad Moldavites.
The sterling silver fob (the holding piece) is a lovely, highly polished, pierced compass rose, with readable markings for N, S, E and W. It is detailed on the front and polished on both sides.
Please note: A common characteristic of Moldavite is the presence of naturally occurring gas bubbles - tiny voids trapped inside the stone when it was formed millions of years ago. The Moldavites in this design contain a few of these natural air pockets, both inside the stone and at its polished surface. These surface imperfections vary, but may look like tiny divots or shallow furrows. These are not visible in the photos and hard to spot without the aid of a magnifying glass.
Moldavite is a tektite that was created approximately 15 million years ago when a giant meteorite fell to the earth. All the Moldavite on the planet comes from this one area and it's still being mined, though it's expected that there will be depleted within the next ten years.
I've been using Moldavite in the AYP pendulums for some time, though very few pieces are large enough to use in a weight-stone. Moldavite is quite rare and as you'd expect and it's also very expensive, so the larger pieces are hard to come by. When I get them, I save them up and to make these special Moldavite one-of-a-kind pendulums. If I'm lucky I can make 2 or 3 per year (depending on availability). This is the first Moldavite weight-stone pendulum design I've created this year.

Included with this pendulum - Drawstring pouch, giftbox, small polishing cloth, pendulum use and care instructions.
Measurements - Overall length of pendulum is 7 1/16". The chain length (including the lobster claw clasp and bail) is 4 7/8". Weight-stone (including mountings) measures 1 1/2" tall by 3/8" wide. The fob is 3/4" tall and 5/8" wide. All measurements are close approximates.
All metal parts (chain, clasp, fob, mountings, and connectors) are sterling silver. All stones are genuine.

How to wear this pendulum: This pendulum's chain has a clasp that allows you to detach the weight-stone so you can wear it as a pendant - simply by slipping it onto your own neck chain or satin cord. Or you can wear the whole pendulum by using a pendulum-to-pendant adapter, or simply by threading a neck chain or cord through one of the links in the pendulum's chain and letting both ends dangle.
