- There are 100 different possible combinations with this design. Pick from 10 different orbs and 10 different fobs to create your own special "Mini-Pendy". Mini-Pendies are miniature pendulums - about one half to two thirds the size of a full-sized pendulum. This diminutive design features a small sterling mounted orb in your choice of 10 different gemstone types. Orb choices are shown in the second image - left to right starting at the top: Clear Quartz, Rose Quartz, Smoky Quartz, Green Aventurine, Carnelian, Hematite, Red Jasper, Dragon's Blood Jasper, Citrine, and Prehnite. Price may vary depending on stone selection.
Choose from any of the 10 different sterling silver fobs shown in the third image: 1. Contoured leaf on stem, 2. Filigree leaf, 3. Filigree oak leaf, 4. Ankh, 5. Feather (3-dimensional), 6. Puffed heart (2 sided), 7. Turtle, 8. Heart key (3-dimensional), 9. Skeleton key (3-dimensional), 10. Spiral. First image shows this design with a Green Aventurine orb and sterling silver filigree oak leaf (fob #3). Third image shows an example of this Mini-Pendy converted to a cascading pendant. Measurements - Overall length of mini-pendy is 5" (varies depending on your fob choice). The chain length (including split rings at each end) is 3 3/8". Gemstone orb weight-stone (including its mounting and top loop) measures 3/4" high by 7/16" wide. All measurements are approximate.
All metal parts (chain, clasp, fob, mountings, and connectors) are sterling silver. All stones are genuine. Please note: As these are natural stones, depth of color, size, and patterns in each stone may vary slightly.
- Mini-Pendies differ from our full-sized pendulums in a couple of ways. The obvious difference is size, but also in the way the chain connects to the weight-stone. Mini-Pendies use split-ring connectors instead of clasps to connect the weight-stone and the fob to its chain. A split-ring acts just like tiny key-ring. You can add or remove objects on a split-ring just as you would add or remove keys on a key-ring (though these split rings are much smaller than standard size key ring).
If you want to add a charm of your own onto a Mini-Pendy split-ring, here's how: First find where the ring ends come together, then insert a fingernail or end of a pin between the parallel rings, creating a temporary gap. Slide object's connector ring into the opening, then all the way around the ring until it comes out of the other side of the gap. Do the same thing to remove it.
Sterling Silver - This pendulum is made with sterling silver and contains no base metal parts. Sterling silver is a beautiful and durable alloy of 92.5% silver and 7.5% other metal, usually copper. Pendulums made with sterling silver are more sensitive to subtle energy vibrations than those that are constructed with base metals (alloys that use nickle, zinc, lead, and/or tin).
Caring for your sterling silver - If worn or used much, sterling will eventually oxidize and develop a lovely patina - a nice warm glow accentuated by darkened (tarnished) areas. You can either leave it this way, or if you prefer a bright and shiny surface, gently polish with a treated cloth to remove the oxidation. Never use abrasive cleansers or expose to salts. Store in a cool dry place.
